Few highlights:

2018 will be his most talented team, but depth still an issue at some positions. Still short of the 85 scholarship limit and may take another class or two to get there and may not get there.

Excited about the walkons, who turned down Division 2 and 1AA offers.

Lost some games in 2017 they should not have with their talent because they were undisciplined, and made to many mistakes. Blames that on lack of leadership, but feels that is being addressed.

Says that while they were expected to be good next year, there are 10 signees in their class that will make them even better overnight.

Especially high on the three players that sit out 2017 after transferring, Ball State DL transfer Kevin Thurmon( 6-1, 300), OU WR Dahu Green (6-5, 210), and Boise WR Bubba Ogbebor (6-1, 189). Even though they are already talented at WR and in the DL, expects all three will be impact players next year.

Said they could not block Thurmon, or cover Green while they were on the scout team.

Also mentioned Oregon/Texas A&M  bounce-back AB Kirk Merritt(5-11, 205) as an impact player as a kick returner.

Has hired two new coaches and will announce them next week. The 10th coach will be on the defensive side of the ball.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
