Calm down man. Tomorrow is what matters.

If we lose to MSU, there is no way we get into the tourny.  There isn't enough spots and only one of us is getting in.  They can't put us in over MSU if they beat us 2 of 3 and one of those on a neutral court.

Hogtropolis™

Not to be negative here, but we need a win tomorrow to ensure that it stays in the 30's.  If we mess around and get beat, we will be back in the 40's.

Very good point.

Bomis Hawg

Arkansas won today.  Two wins against Vanderbilt in less than a week.
I think Arkansas has a good case.

A win tomorrow would book it for Arkansas.  Today, Arkansas is bumping the bubble.  Likely in, I think.  39 RPI is good.  Could go higher.

dotnet

What would be key is for us to win one more and have teams like Purdy and Illi to lose their next game.  Having a better RPI than Purdue, Illi, Missouri St., Drexel, Tech, KState, FSU, and ODU would be pretty huge.

When they look at that and see that we're in the SEC championship game, I think that will put us in.  We have to beat MSU though.

Hollywood_HOGan

we screwed oursleves too much during the regular year.

We still MUST win one more game.

I agree

Hog Fan from Camden

Bottom line, if they bet MSU tomorrow, they are in the NCAAT.  Period!  If they lose who knows.

If we win tommorow, We dont have to sit through the selection show Sunday on Pins and Needles

40 is the magic number when it comes to NCAA and RPI, rarely do top 40 RPI teams get turned down.   Win tommorow, and our RPI wont drop enough even with a loss on Sunday to go back over 40

Oh heck, lets just win the entire dang tourney and make it easy on ourselves

We cannot get complacent. I want the SEC title!

MSU, you're up next!

I was more worried about Vandy then MSU. Not saying we will win/lose but i thought that if we get past Vandy and heard MSU beat Kentucky, we had a good shot to make it championship game.

I guess I don't understand this mindset in most figuring we are an easier win.  Split the series home and home, we absolutely drilled you guys on our home court, lost by 9 on y'alls. Last two games beat an highly overrated Alabama team like no ones business and then took out UK on really what could be considered Rupp Arena-Atlanta branch.   But to each their own I guess.

SEC Tournament Titles
Kentucky:  25
MSU:  2

Regular Season SEC Titles:
Kentucky: 43
MSU:6

Tradition and the history of the tournament, and even Arkansas' record against these teams all time, argues that we'd rather see MSU than Kentucky.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

camelt

I think we are in regardless, but I say we beat that ass tomorrow regardless so it is a mute point.  Cameltoe early line is Ark -2 vs Miss St.

NuttMustGo!

That's great! We should get in with at least one more win!!!

its gonna be an awsome game tomorrow. Both teams will lay it on the line to get to the NCAAT.
Gotta admit, i wanted the big blue because they didnt get a bye.

Both teams had crazy Qfinal wins and both should be ready for a real battle.

well putting it that way makes sense..but I was looking at this year, regular season matchups.  I did not feel that UK had enough to make it tourney title # 26 and the regular season stuff in the past really has no bearing.  But I do at least understand where you are coming from.

I agree Hollywood, this may be a shootout..so far this has been a hell of a tournament..

There's enough spots if the SEC gets 6, which is becoming probable.

The SEC-West stock is rising. Three teams in the SECT semis.

Let UGA & Ole Miss lose tonight, then MSU & Hawgs might both get in.  WPS!!

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

Are you on the selection Committee? No. So I wouldn't say things like that. All I know is we are 7-3 in our last 10. We beat SOuthern Illinois as well (no 11) I think we have a very strong resume now. All bets are off

I guess I don't understand this mindset in most figuring we are an easier win.

Please allow me to explain it:  It has nothing to do with the quality of the teams.  It has everything to do with Kentucky's tradition and that they will most likely be given the edge as far as the zebra's are concerned.  IMO, your Dogs almost fell today because Kentucky's seemed to get the benefit of the doubt from the zebra's.  It can be hard to win 5 on 8.

I agree with this assessment as well.  It is true that this is the UK Invitational, you have to be able to overcome the refs to win it most years against them.
