... ranked No. 217 nationally in the 247Spots composite.

"Some of the factors are them being close to home," McMillon said on the ESPN broadcast. "I'm able to get there any time if there's any family emergency. The Engineering program is one of the top 50 in the country. Alabama, the name sticks out. They're taking linebackers to the NFL every day. People like Dont'a Hightower, Rolando McClain and C.J. Mosley, who just went to the Ravens. I felt like it was a great fit for me."

McMillon said receivers coach Billy Napier, who recruited McMillon, played a big role in his decision.

Alabama's recruiting class is still ranked No. 1 in all major recruiting services. McMillon participated at NIKE's The Opening in July with 10 other Alabama commitments.

Boasting offers from Louisville, Miami, Tennessee, Nebraska, and several others, Givens committed to the Rebels after whittling his choices down to Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. He is listed by 247Sports as a three star prospect who is the No. 45 high school offensive tackle prospect and the No. 18 overall prospect in Tennessee for the 2015 class.

Calvin Ridley finishes high school career with another monster game

The 5-star Alabama commit from Monarch High School in Coconut Creek, Fla., scored two touchdowns and finished with seven receptions for 186 yards in Monarch's 48-0 win over Piper on Friday.

His last catch, according to the Sun-Sentinel, was a 40-yard touchdown.

He topped 100 yards receiving in all three games he played this season.

Ridley turns 19 years and 9 months after the game, so he is too old to continue playing under Florida High School Athletic Association rules.

4-star safety Ronnie Harrison signs with Alabama

Alabama signed its second recruit in two days on Friday.

Ronnie Harrison, a four-star prospect from Tallahassee, Fla., announced on Twitter that he had signed with the Crimson Tide. Recruits expected to graduate high school early are eligible to sign financial aid agreements with colleges...

The financial aid agreement will allow Alabama to have unlimited contact with Harrison going forward, and the ability to publicize the relationship. The agreement binds the school to Harrison, but he is still free to enroll at a different school...

Fifty-two percent of the Ole Miss and Mississippi State players are from Mississippi. Take away those 119 players and there are only 13 other players from Mississippi in the SEC -- fewer than non-SEC states Illinois, Ohio, Maryland and North Carolina.

"Really? I'm shocked at that," Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said of leading the SEC in jucos. "I don't consider us a big juco team. ... We're blessed to have the Mississippi jucos here. It would be foolish for us for a national player that got in there that didn't qualify for us not to work hard to get them."

Ten of the Rebels' 14 jucos played at junior colleges in Mississippi, which is a huge source for sending two-year players to four-year schools. Seven junior colleges in Mississippi make up 33 percent of the SEC's juco players. The next closest state for SEC jucos is Kansas (23 percent).

Half or the SEC players come from either the state of Georgia, Florida, Texas, or Alabama.

Wallace has the ability to play with his hand in the dirt as an edge rusher, but also possesses the athleticism to stand up and play effectively in space.

Very seldom do you see a John Curtis prospect commitment at this stage of the process, but perhaps even more rare is seeing one decommit once he has given his word.
