Anyone built a smoker? I've always used cheap crappy offset smoke and I'm sick of it. I started looking at Lang's and got the idea to make my own. I looked into it some and there's way more info out there than I'll ever need. Importantly, there are websites that will give you all the numbers for how big your firebox should be, how big your airflow holes should be, all that. So I'm gonna go out and buy a welder and teach myself how to do a decent bead. Start scrounging for scrap metal too! I want 5/16" for the firebox and the plate for reverse flow and 1/4" for the rest. Big heavy sumbitch.
I think if it goes well I might start selling custom jobs.
Anybody have a handle on scrap metal in the Little Rock area?
