Herm Edwards: Raising Arizona?

Do they have rednecks in Arizona? I believe they do as I have been in about half the states in the mainland US and have encountered at least one in every one of them.

We know they have them in TN and knew it well before the recent Schiano debacle. The reason I ask is it seems to me Arizona State fans have more reason to be having a hissy fit than Vol fans.

I was reading the story on espn.com about the reports of Herm Edwards being the choice at the REAL ASU, to be announced early next week.

The President of the school is in China and isn't set to return until this weekend. He must sign off on the hire which was made by the AD, Ray Anderson.

If you read a couple of paragraphs down, the answer to the oft-asked question the last day or two of: "why Herm Edwards???" is right there.

The AD Anderson is formerly known as Herm Edwards' agent!

Talk about a "Good Ol' Boy" situation! Herm Edwards, 63, has not coached since 2008, going 2-14 at KC.

His last college coaching gig was almost 30 years ago as San Jose State's DB coach.

Arizona State fans cannot be blamed if they revolt against this stunning development.

If they have rednecks and I'm sure they do, nearly every character in Raising Arizona was, they may have a Tenner situation on their hands.
