Picked up a RB commit who had offers from Dartmouth, Harvard, Yale and Princeton, so learning the play book should not be an issue.

A-State picked up a commit from Ball State starting  DT Keven Thurmon, who will count toward the 2018 class, and have to set out a year. The 3* DT chose A-State over Memphis, Boise State and other transfer options.

A-State reportedly has several talented players ready to join the program as blue-shirts or even as walkons at the start of fall camp, so Anderson's commitment to move away from the "funky" recruiting that hurts their class rating on the public sites, but helps them win SBC Championships,  will probably be phased in. These players are just to talented for them not to take.

A-State has also picked up a commit from 3* JC DT Christian Howard who will join the team for fall camp as a blue-shirt. Howard was committed to A-State at one time but signed with Colorado St. Did not get admitted to school there and it is my understanding that he will not have to sit out a year.

Picked up Dahu Green a WR transfer from Oklahoma who joined the team yesterday. Will have to sit out 2017.

Could be a diamond in the rough for the Red Wolves.

"It's really trying to play under control because he is so fast and explosive," Riley, by way of Tulsa World, said prior to the April 8 spring game. "He's easily one of the top five most talented guys on our team, just straight-up talented at their position, no question. He's had to learn. He came in very, very raw. He's progressing well. He's had an impressive spring. I can't deny it."
