I think Tony is done. His wife and family, and DR, will be urging him to retire I think. 36 years old. Has had 3 broken collarbones, broken ribs, punctured lung, his back is so bad he has taken every Wednesday off for 2-3 years.  I'd be shocked if he played again after rebraking his clavicle today.  Dallas HAS to draft BA.  I've been thinking of which QB's Dallas should draft and I can't think of a better choice than BA.

Dallas could get a steal out of BA.

They do need a QB but the closest thing I have seen to Romo is Paxton Lynch. That kid is a stud. Dallas should trade up to get him...well...if they keep playing like they are now they may not have to trade up that far to get him. They also need players at multiple spots in the D.

And a coach. Burn it all down and start over.

I like Brandon Allen.   I hope he goes somewhere like Washington, and punishes Dallas for a decade

Mind, I don't hold out a lot o hope for it, but that'd be a good thing.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Dr. Starcs

Love ba, but to believe he's going to punish anyone for a decade in the nfl is a long shot.

Anyway, lynch at 6'7 is not really comparable to romo.

He scrambles well, improvises and can throw on the run. He is a very athletic player for his height unlike a guy like Mallett. I think he is pretty comparable.

Dr. Starcs

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Dallas draft and develop Brandon or Dak. Dak is listed as a higher prospect right now but I think they could take a chance on either later in the draft.

I'm trying to figure out why Dallas has a reputation for giving former Razorbacks a chance. They don't. Rarely do they draft Razorbacks, and only occasionally do they sign FA former Hogs.

I doubt that BA is even on their top 10 when it comes to available QBs they are interested in.

Dr. Starcs

Well in fairness, ba probably isn't in the top 10 of anyone right now.

Hopefully he has a good combine and pro day and can turn some heads.

That's true, I'm just saying Jones isn't sitting around going "okay let's give BA a shot b/c he was a HOG" or anything like that. Nothing in his history would indicate that, yet I've read several posts on here where people have made statements saying things about he loves former Hogs, he loves to help the program , etc etc. No he doesn't, he loves making money.

If Dallas doesn't want to go into another Aikman recession, they need to do some homework and draft 2 solid QBs early and late.

No real superstars in this draft, but a couple of solid players.

Romo will be back if not this year next year for sure.

Romo is out for the year and maybe a career. Dallas must find a replacement this off season regardless.

Romo isn't retiring, just an unlucky year.  I like BA but he isn't even listed out of 27 QBs for the next draft on walterfootball.  The top 5 are Paxton Lynch, Goff, Cook, Cardale, and Hackenberg.  Jerry is about 2 years late for drafting a QB at a high pick to backup and it bit him this season to the tune of 0-7.  Jerry needs to use high picks on a RB and a QB.

Jerry is more likely to trade for Party Boy.

LMAO.  Romo should have been the MVP of the league last year and was off to a great start this year when he broke his collarbone.  They rushed him back and he landed perfectly today to break it again 8 weeks later.  He has 9 months until the start of next season.

He's not going to retire and Cowboys fans should be glad he won't.  We're seeing what kind of team Dallas is without him...as in 0-7.

Hogarusa

As mentioned in another thread, the Hog who has the real chance to be a Cowboy is Alex Collins.  DMAC ended up being real good this year and should get another year but nobody else worked out.

Hackenberg is garbage. Cardale is overrated. Bad year for QBs all around. Next year will be better, draft wise.

Prepare for the Manzielissance in Dallas.  AC might be lining up behind him, though (as a rb, not a euphemism)

I doubt that.  Everyone has seen him play now and he hasn't done anything to make him wanted as a starter.
If a man speaks and no woman is around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Jerry's history of personnel moves leads you to believe he's rational because... ?

Dr. Starcs

Because he had every opportunity to draft the kid and instead went with pro bowler Zack Martin.

Sure, man.  How many injuries to Romo since then? I was joking of course, but if you don't think he's capable of making that mistake, you haven't been paying attention.

Jerry will never pick a QB in the first round.

Right, he isnt going to use a top 10 pick on a QB this year.  By high round, i meant first 3.  They would surely take best available with their top 10 pick (WalterFootball currently has FSU S) and then hopefully go RB/QB with the next 2 picks.

Manziel isnt going to be a Cowboy.

Paxton is #13 and BA is #7 in a much tougher conference.

So you think BA will be drafted ahead of Lynch?

BA has played out of his mind the last 5 games. Turned into a great college player over that span which includes making plays in the clutch. That doesn't mean he is a better prospect than a guy like Lynch as far as the NFL is concerned. Of course they get it wrong all the time but I know for a fact that Lynch will go ahead of BA if BA even gets drafted at all.

For a fact? How about "I believe strongly" as you are in no position to state fact. Or probability but not fact.

Hard to say who will go higher. Stats say BA should. Just depends on their interviews would be my guess.

It's amazing to think at the beginning of the year people were talking about BA possibly getting an invite to training camp.  And now, we are talking about where he is going to get drafted.  He has had an unbelievable year and one of the best from any conference.
