Their problem the last 3-4 seasons has been Les Miles meddling with their Offense.  Also, losing Chavis didn't help them this season (and will be that way until they get rid of Steele and get someone at DC who is higher quality than Steele).

They have had the talent to win at least 11 games each season over the last 3-4 seasons, primarily due to Wilson's recruiting, but Miles is holding them back (his meddling, him letting Chavis get away, and his subsequent poor decision to hire Steele).
