Injuries

Has there been any horses break down during the races?   I think I have seen one throw a jockey on the back stretch.  Seems like a lot less injuries than previous years.

Don't know if you saw the quote from van meter. said the track is the best it has been in the 10 years he has been coming. true testament to the track crew because we have had unreal rains after unreal rains.

One was put down in the last race yesterday but was a fluke accident. A horse clipped heels and fell. The horse behind him fell on top of it and suffered catastrophic injuries. The horse that originally fell is fine.

As far as the track, the first couple of days we got all the rain it was extremely bad. They did a great job getting it back though.
