Conway, AR - Hendrix rumbled for 191 rushing yards and 521 yards of total offense in a decisive 35-21 victory over visiting Millsaps to close the season today at home. Football also honored their 13 seniors before the game (Michael Kramer, Mason Millsap, Ben Luedtke, Sean O'Brien, Dylan Shelton, Ivan "Boomer" Burrell, Kody Smith, Neal Parsons, Sam Struebing, Eugene Pegues, Drew Versnel, John Veon, and Nate Hodapp).

Kip VanHoose led the Warriors with 95 yards on 14 carries with a touchdown.

Miles Thompson added 69 yards on 14 carries and found the end zone once as well.

Thompson also finished 26 of 38 for 330 yards and two touchdowns. These touchdowns will give Thompson a season total of 47 touchdowns for the year.

Hodapp led the receiving corps with eleven catches for 214 yards breaking the school record set by Casey Canton of 187. Michael Spainhour had eight catches for 78 yards.

For the defense Kramer had a team-best eight tackles, while Zack Rice had six tackles. HC defense played an impressive game creating many turnovers and holding strong on third and fourth downs.

Garrett Wolf highlighted HC's great special team play with a 44-yard punting average and four punts inside the 20-yard line.

Hendrix nor Millsaps were able to dominate the first quarter, and went into the second quarter tied up at 0-0.

The Warriors opened the scoring on their first possession of the second quarter, marching 64 yards on eleven plays, capped by a 21-yard run by Hodapp.

Millsaps would answer right back on their next drive knotting up the score 7-7.

A VanHoose 93-yard punt return to open the second half would result in a touchdown to put the Warriors ahead 14-7.

Hendrix took advantage of the Majors defense later in the third quarter to get on the scoreboard again on a 99-yard, ten play drive capped off by a VanHoose 29-yard rushing touchdown.

Hodapp hauled in a 49-yard touchdown reception in the beginning of the fourth quarter to give Hendrix a 21-point lead.

Millsaps would produce another touchdown in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 14 with an interception and a 95-yard return that ended with a 5-yard scoring run.

The Warriors were able to pull away, however, scoring another fourth-quarter touchdown to seal the win.

"I am very proud of how hard our guys fought today," said Head Coach Buck Buchanan. "Our team and especially our seniors have had to fight for everything that they have earned. We had a lot of injury set-backs and yet still managed to come away with a record breaking season. Hats off to this group of hard working young men."

Hendrix, who was ranked tenth in the South Region this week, finishes the season 8-2 for its fourth-consecutive season with a record of .500 or better. This season led by its senior class will hold the title of the most wins in school history.
