That's a pretty salty schedule. No one will be able to knock our strength of schedule this year.

That schedule is rough and weird.

So there are only three road non conference games.

There are 5 neutral site non conference games.

12 games in the first 17 days of the season.

Then after that is complete there is something like 26 games in 37 days.

There will essentially be three different week (5+ days) long road trips in the first half of the season.  -There is the trip out west with a game vs Arizona at the beginning.
-The two games in NC and then the three game set vs Florida a day later
then two days later
-the game in memphis with a three game set in Oxford a day later

The pitching better get ironed out pretty quick.  There will be plenty of innings to go around

Kevin

how is this not the toughest schedule in the country.

he is going to rely on rpi, because not sure how many wins over 30 they will get.

If we're as good as we should be, we'll be just fine.

Not a bad year to have a schedule like this, with the depth we have. should be able to get guys plenty of rest. Pitching is a bit of a concern, but the silver lining is that Dave and Wes should know a lot more about who can give you what in which situation before conference play starts than most years.

With all of those games, I think you basically need five pitchers for five weeks of the year, including weeks against Tech and Texas.

I guess the hope is those five pitchers could be:

Campbell
Knight
Murphy
McKinney
Bolden
Lee

DVH seemed open to the idea of Lee starting.

'bout time.. but worth the wait!

Living in Georgia, love that final SEC series.

Really like the national flavor of our non-conference games, especially the Tony Gwynn Classic.  It took a few minutes to find anything on this.  So far, it's a 7-team field, including Arizona, Arkansas, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon, Michigan, San Diego, and San Diego State.  Last season, it was an 8-team field, so another team will likely be added.  Tennessee represented the SEC in that one.

Boy. As a fan that's going to be an incredible schedule to watch at Baum. That's a national seed kind of schedule...still have to earn it on the field, but the potential is there with enough wins.
