Well, I can guarantee that Bielema isn'g going to be our next coach. Unless he somehow breaks the physical laws of time and space.

Venables feels like a lifer DC.
Norvell maybe. He's got Arkansas roots and makes a lot of sense where he's at in his career.
Strong isn't going to leave USF after one season to take the Arkansas job. Unless he wins a national title this year, he's going to have to pay his dues to get back to a bigger program. He's best turning USF into a power program and becoming their demigod.
Fleck, I highly doubt, leaves Minnesota after one year.
Les Miles would probably pay us to give him the job. Hell, if he'd pay Bielema's buyout, that might be a deal worth making, but shy of that, I don't think the Mad Hatter is getting back into SEC coaching. I really don't.
Brett Bielema already is the coach, as discussed above.
Chip Kelly I'm not even going to address.
Jon Gruden is even less likely.
Jeff Brohm... mayyyyyyybe. But again, I highly doubt he leaves Purdue after a single season. My guess is he'll wait for Petrino to flame out at Louisville. That's Brohm's alma mater and probably his dream job. Seems more likely.

The true answer is -- it'll probably be somebody we're not mentioning. It usually is. Plus, who knows who will be available come season's end. Or next year, if that's the year Bielema ends up leaving. Or the year after that. Who knows.

My off the wall guess at who will be Arkansas' next football coach: Jim Bob Cooter.

Don't think you could have an Arkansas coach with a better name than that, folks. Write it down.

Unfortunately this is not going to be the year a program like Arkansas needs to be in the market for a new coach.  Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, TAMU, Notre Dame, UCLA, Nebraska, maybe even Florida could all be looking for a new Head Coach this year.  Who in the world would we be able to beat those guys out for?

Arkansas Fan

I could really only see UCLA looking for a new coach. Notre Dame, could be since if Kelly doesn't have a 10+ win season.

RazorbackAlways

Cant believe BB has 7 accounts on Hogville. He's running up his tab.

Arkansas Fan

This list isn't realistic. Gruden and Chip Kelly? I could only see Brohm, Venables, and Norvell coming here.

Venables could go to Kansas State.

I thought this was going to be about the one silly coach that gave Arkansas a vote this week.  It's a lovely troll or it's a guy signaling he wants the job.

Or it's Bielema's arrogant ass making a statement to himself.

Very good point. By the time those teams pick a coach we would be looking at a Crowe style hire.  ;D

I actually would not hate Jim Mora, but I think he turned down Washington and Texas early on at UCLA when he was doing well.  Now that he may be getting fired and Texas and Washington each have their coach, maybe he will want to go elsewhere.

You should add Phillip Montgomery.

I actually did have Phillip Montgomery on the coach poll that I created a few days ago originally, but I took him down because he was kinda struggling this year.  He may not be a bad option though.

No Jeff Brohm. Another Big10ite?

Coaches Poll Update: 3/4 of Hogvillians Want Bielema Gone

I dont know why or how BB got so many votes, but he did.

Dr. Starcs

Chip Kelly would clearly be my choice out of these.

Not that I think he'll ever coach at Arkansas, but Brohm isn't anything like Bielema, if that's what you're afraid of. I don't think you really believe we shouldn't hire any coach who coaches in the Big10, simply because he coaches in the Big10, right? That'd just be silly.

I like Chip Kelly, but I'd rather have Vince Lombardi.

We're talking about coaches dead or alive, right? In our fantasy world scenario where Chip Kelly actually picks up our phone call?

You bumped a thread that you started after ten minutes based on another thread you already started?

I wanna discuss porn. Can we do that here too?....

Absolutely. Whos your fav? Want me to make a poll?

sickboy

Yes. 1 vote for Mia Khalifa.

But seriously, Brohm's a good coach. Be interesting to see what he does at Purdue, but getting the nations attention after your third game at Purdue, speaks volumes.

He'd be a big offense guys, similar to Petrino. I don't know how he recruits, but that formula has worked at Arkansas.

No I don't want you doing any poles, especially in public. I don't think the law would like that too much.

No way Long goes after Brohm.  His connection to Petrino will cost him with Long.
