He has roots. He's money smart. He loves the state and he knows all the right people. Why not him for AD?

Rudy Baylor

He's money smart? You mean he really knows how to find a good deal in the men's dept at Dillards?

He can keep you up to date on the latest teen crazes.  It is like hearing a 12 year old girl on the air.

Would he want to keep games in Little Rock? If so, then no!

He might do better than most would think.  He was a great player and I enjoyed my time working out with him at the Old Golds Gym in Little Rock
If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

No SEC AD should have ever worn cut off jean shorts that would be considered "Daisy-Dukes"...so the answer is Hayullll Naw!

PolishPigPower

Tommy Smith for Director of Football Operations, and Roger Scott for Associate AD Liaison to the RF?

To those seriously thinking this is a good idea, the next time you have a thought... just let it go.

Maybe if he becomes AD, his awesome "Root Hog" idea from years ago comes back into play.

It made be a forum, but spelling and punctuation tell a lot about a person. Also, I usually post from my iPhone, too. I don't have a problem with using good spelling and punctuation.

The Boar War

I believe that Bazzel can have an important role at Arkansas.  But it would be in something like game day experience not overseeing a multimillion dollar budget.

I also imagine there would be a lot of resentment from people in the Broyles Complex who spent their entire career working in athletics administration only to be passed over for a sports talk show host.

No Business Acumen. Not being successful ( third chair on a morning show behind Stinky and Jerky is not successful). Not having a PHD. No spouse .. not that there is anything wrong with that.

There are minimum requirements for the position that some of you simpletons cannot get past.  Pitiful really.

Making trophies is not a resume builder for an AD position.
To add a "sig line" or "signature line": Go to your "profile" then go to "modify profile" then scroll down to where it says "Signature" and type in what you want it to say and then click on "change profile". That's it, you're done. Your sig line will only show up on your first post on each page.

How is he money smart? He talks on the radio and makes himself look pretty! What qualifications does he have to run a 100 million dollar budget? A smile! Stop!!

Good God.  You people are determined to find some washed up Razorback whether they are qualified or not.

The candidate should be someone CAPABLE - if they have roots or ties to the program, then great. But they should have, at least, RESPECT for the program and its history.

greenie

I know David personally, and I like him a lot.  Super nice guy that loves the hogs, but this would be the definition of a GOBN hire.
We need someone with significant athletic dept administration experience, if not AD experience.

Captain?
Big play maker?

And...he's designed the world's biggest, heaviest, weirdest trophies that would spend all their time in other SEC trophy cases while he was AD.

LOL. Lots of replies in this thread that sound like the nerdy high school boys that can't get a date and are jealous of the new kid.

He has some of the attributes necessary to be successful as our AD, but not all of them. There has to be better candidates out there.

Lettered 4 years...never made All SWC first team. Was named team captain. Hurt as much as he was healthy. Garnered accolades because he stayed in Fayetteville over Thanksgiving and ate at McDonald's.
