QuoteGus Malzahn's new charitable foundation is set to get its feet of the ground [sic] this summer, but documents show Malzahn and his wife Kristi filed paperwork for the organization last year.

The Malzahn Family Foundation, Inc. was started as a domestic non-profit corporation based in Auburn on April 8, 2016. It will be headed by former Auburn director of football operations Jamie Croley.

"We've had it for about six months," Malzahn said Wednesday morning at the Regions Pro-Am at Greystone in Birmingham. "We really wanted, since this time of year in the offseason (is slower) to get a strategy together just to do the best we can.

"It's the Malzahn Family Foundation that he is (running)," Malzahn said of Croley. "Me and Kristi are just looking to do some things to give back."

"I want to help this foundation get started," Croley, who is Malzahn's brother-in-law, said May 8. "I still get to work with family, both Gus and Kristi now. ... It's an opportunity that I feel like to give back to people. The goal is to get that thing up and running."

Another way to recruit players? I thought that was what the Tiger Unlimited and Never To Yield Foundation were for...  8)

At the Regions Golf Tournament (Pro-Am) today in Greystone, Saban was escorted by three motorcycle cops and State Troopers along with a huge group.

Malzahn showed up with ten people. Rumor has it that Tammy was his bodyguard... 8)

What happens if he has another 5 or 6 win season and gets fired this winter?

What happens?  Malzahn's BIL will still pocket >$100k of of those AU idiot's donation dollars.

Then the foundations normal "giving to those in need" will no longer support old barn athletes.................................
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.
