On top of that, he is a real "character...walk the straight line" kind of guy who the Administration, parents and players will love. He built the Tulsa Union program into something really special on a national level, not just in the state. And, while he is a program developer, he also knows how to be a program promoter. It won't be very long before he is probably trying to schedule marquee games with large national high school powers to come into Fayetteville to play. My guess is, he will get a lot of support from Bielema and Arkansas.

If I sound like I am an advocate of Bill Blankenship, it is because I am. I think he's a much better high school program coach than college coach and he is a very good man. Big time win for FHS and the Hogs.

I might add that a few years ago, when Blankenship moved on to Tulsa, they (Union) brought in a "big name" coach with a huge national win reputation from Indiana and he promptly got his arse handed to him in terms of the level of competition in Oklahoma (and this area level) high school football and he quickly returned to the Midwest after a year or two. He had a tendency to be the sideline "sweater vest" guy like Jim Tressel, but found that football down here (Mid-South and Southeast) was a lot different than what he was previously accustomed to in the Midwest.

Hopefully the new management understands the importance of private boxes.

Wasn't it a "private box" that got him in this mess to begin with?

More specifically, double occupation of a private box...

Thus the importance of keeping a box private.

It's my understanding there was standing room only in the box. In fact, they were lined up at the door.
