Dang it, means #3 is about to announce, right

WilsonHog

Yeah, that would cause a bit of a nuclear meltdown if it comes to pass.

That is all.

Does this mean we will hear something definite about Moses soon?

batmanfan

I look at this like I looked at BP and MQ last year at the banquet. If he is staying he'll announce tonight. If he is leaving he'll likely say tomorrow or the next day.

He graduates next month, correct?
Uh oh!  So he could leave and be eligible where ever he chooses?
I said...LSU has often been an overrated team.

That ignoramus Draconian Sanctions said..if we're overrated, why are we ranked higher than you are?

Kinda weird on Whitt.

With the new combine deal, it opens the door for this to be protracted out until late May as far as Moses is concerned.  That's if he waits the max.

There's nothing to test unless he wants to spend 2 years in the d league way too raw still has  no offense

If  Mike can't keep a second team all  conference  player with no offense to stay his senior year he can take  his happy as on and I like Mike I never even thought  this was a thing

I see it two ways.

1) if he's just bitter about a player leaving and trying to send a message that "If you leave, you were never here" then I don't like it, and I think Mike is headed for a quick demise.

2) if Whitt burned up bridges and left the rest of the team feeling like he cared more about himself than them.... Then I say don't remind the players about the guy who left.

There's plenty of good reasons why Moses might want to test the NBA waters, but the biggest reason by far is to receive feedback on where the NBA franchises think that Moses has holes in his game and what he can work on to improve his draft day status for next season.

Prepare for the worst.

General life advice or Kingsley is leaving?

(Edit: Clarification, I am neither venting nor talking rumors with this question.)

Simmons in the long run hurt the LSU program more than he helped.
That team had a bad attitude / vibe for most of the year, they were projected to be much better than they were because of his presence - which in turn led to real criticism of Johnny Jones from all corners.
On top of that they'll take an APR hit because Simmons isn't going to finish his spring classes.
They gained nothing by the "one and done", supposed all-world Simmons.
He's got great talent, but not a fan of his attitude, competitiveness or heart while on the floor.
Inside every "older" person is a younger person wondering what the hell happened?

I think the Razorback basketball program is in desperate need of some positive PR.  Mike appears a bit thin-skinned to me.  To conduct the basketball banquet as though Jimmy were not on the 2015-16 team is disingenuous, and borderline juvenile.

"Jimmy is dead to me" is what we say/do here in Jump Ball.  We can say that because we're idiot fans.  I'd hope that Mike and our basketball program would be above our malcontent.  However, some of these actions come off as a bit sophomoric.

Rumors fly that the Razorbacks don't recruit players committed to other programs... did we give up?  No chance to change a child's mind?  Now, the Hogs don't acknowledge the participation of players that elect to transfer away from the program.

What harm could come from the Arkansas Razorbacks supporting its athletes without appearing to pass judgment upon their immature decisions?  As things stand, we forgave Anton Bell for passing bad money, but have ignored Jimmy Whitt for choosing to move on.

"Jimmy rejects us, so we reject Jimmy!"  Really?

I know coaching is extremely personal - we're talking about cultivating relationships with 16-18 year old ego-maniacs.  Coaxing a multi-year commitment can't be easy, especially when players are taught that their greatest value to us is playing basketball for an $8M/year average salary.

Can we blame them that this is the only path they see?  As reality begins to set in, they desperately seek a fresh start - get back on the path.  Too bad they aren't being adequately fed their better odds for long term success.  A degree.

Mike has been doing this a long time.  And I don't expect him to celebrate defections - it must be painful to suffer the rejection of those that have known and experienced his coaching.  Yet, Jimmy has the right to leave Arkansas.

Personally, I'd like to see Mike and the Razorbacks acknowledge Jimmy's contribution to the program.  Let's prop these kids up - show them that we are above the discourse.  It's safe here...  Isn't it?
