That's because many here can't fathom that MS St has built their program over the years and return a lot of experience.

Getting back the most productive SEC QB over the last two years helps a lot.

When in doubt, you go with the best QB in close matchups, and win more often than not.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Fitzgerald is back for 2018. How well has he recovered from a gruesome ankle injury? We will see.

In any case they played a true freshman back-up QB (Keytaon Thompson) quite a lot last season, partly due to Fitzgerald's injury and as mobile DT QB's go, he wasn't bad. He was used sparingly in the first 7 games LY where he rushed 21 times for 177 yards and 2 TD's. In the last 2 games vs. Ole Miss and Louisville he rushed 53 times for 268 yards and 4 TD's.

I'd take a QB who averages 5 yards per carry. That's exactly what Morris is talking about when he says he needs a QB who has enough ability to run that when he does run, he keeps the sticks moving.

In terms of passing, the first 7 games he was 8 of 19 for 66 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT's. In the last 2 games he went 24 of 47 for 322 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT's.

Obviously he was far more impressive as a runner than a thrower but perhaps with an off season to improve and with the coaching of Moorhead he could make sufficient improvement in his throwing ability to become a more well rounded threat as a true Sophomore with game experience under his belt.
Great point, I am also curious how their qb situation plays out and believe that combined with a new coach might equal a difficult year.
