I think every year you should sign atleast minimum of 3 of these guys!

It's still early for 2008 commits, but we have 2 great OL commits already. Matt Hall and Austin Eoff.
Life is full of uncertainty, but I could be wrong about that.

Its cyclical;  the past two years have been higher numbers,  and with a few slots coming open after this year, focus should be on getting the best available.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Last years class had 5 great OL prospects if Freeman is moved to OT.  All of them are very quality prospects, and with Hall and Eoff, we should only need one more this class.

I hope we hold out to get a huge one. pun intended.

I think with as many DL they have a possibility at they may only offer one more OL early and I bet it will have to be a can't miss. If they could sign 2-3 DL then some could move to OL in the future. Thier always seems to be one guy on our line like that. ALthough this year I do not know of one.

If we do anything we develop OL well.  Markuson is the most underrated coach on staff.  Stephen Parker was a walk-on.  Luigs a two star.  It goes on and on through the years.  We have had an Andrews and Ugoh!  However, Markuson will make lineman of whoever we get.  OL recruits are important, but we always have good lines.

Kareem Crowell is a DT that switched to OL during his year at prep school and he will play on our OL this year as a true freshman.

I am a Hog fan. I was long before my name was etched, twice, on the sidewalks on the Hill. I will be long after Sam Pittman and Eric Mussleman are coaches, and Hunter Yuracheck is AD. I am a Hog fan when we win, when we lose and when we don't play. I love hearing the UA band play the National Anthem on game day, but I sing along to the Alma Mater. Does anyone think Bequette will also be moved from TE to OL?

Tyler Barnes, Bryant Newell are two instate possibilities...

Neither have been offered yet (that I know of) but both have good size and Barnes in particular wants to be a Hog pretty bad.

I think they both want to be Hogs, Newell has been coming to U of A camps for several years (even when he lived in Tennessee).

I don't think we sign anymore than 2 to fill out the rest of this class, but here are some ones that we are one:

1. Zebrie Sanders, OH (not looking good, probably going to UGA or UF, I still think we should make one more hard push his way)
2. Barret Jones, TN (not looking so good, probably between UGA, UF, UNC, or TN)
2. Josh Tatum, AL (great size, if we want him we will get him)
4. Brent Hanson, TN (will wait to offer, but did very well at a camp in Shreveport)
3. John Williams, OK (between us and KU)
4. Bryant Newell, AR (stock is starting to rise, if we offer he will be a Hog)
5. Tyler Barnes, AR (may go to KU, but if we offer should be a Hog)
6. Leonard Ridgle, AR (stock has dropped a little this summer, but one to keep your eye on)
7. Jason Donnal, IL (JUCO)

Are we no longer interested in Cordy Glenn or Josh Williams?

I am not sure of the current interest level in Glenn, but Williams is a DE who committed to Nebraska.  You were probably thinking of John Williams who is on the list.

Likely we will have one or two who will walkon also. If we can sign a couple of other DL's then that becomes a bigger possibility. It seems to me you have to have at least 7-8 trench guys every year. Work ethic is the key. Will they work in obscurity for a while. Particularly OL.
