IMHO the win over UK at home really helps the Volunteers chances of making the NCAA Tournament. They could very well be the 5th SEC Team to go to the Big Dance.

This is what I think as well. There is no limit on how many teams the SEC can have in the tournament. If there are 5 teams that have earned a bid, then they will extend five bids, not replace one team with another.

Agreed. If they keep winning, the Hogs win over them in Knoxville will become a much needed quality win.

What's crazy is our resume is really really similar to some 4 and 5 seeds.  We just need 2 top 25 wins, so basically beat Florida and SC and drop no more than 1-2 more other games and we should be a 4 or 5 seed

I hope we can win or lose our way out of the 8/9 game. That is the worst seed in the tournament for any team not playing in the play-in games.

Not only would it be a great location and fans would travel like crazy, MTSU has a former player (Jacorey) and an Arkansas native at PG (Tyrik Dixon).

Plus MTSU was the darling 15 seed that upset Michigan State last year. Plenty of juicy storylines, and if Baylor still ended up being a 1 seed, I would say they would be the weakest 1 seed of the four.

That's definitely the half glass full to look at it.

I see it as, the worse thing possible happened to us and we're still in it.  Just back to square one.  The team is starting to gel more and more, our teams usually do their best in February, and we have some great opportunities to prove why we should make the tournament. 

But that's just me!

I actually can take away some positive from yesterday.  I've said a million times though that I think Missouri just hit all their shots, even when contested, and that's why they lost.  Some positives were barfords great game, he keeps getting better.  We also finely got some decent production out of our four too.  Arlando hit some shots and got some boards and DT got a ton of big boards.

Also, hold on to your pants, but Missouri would've blown some good teams out yesterday with how they were shooting, Arkansas did well to keep punching back.

Seriously, why is that at least 6 times every sec season do we see some team shoot lights out against the Hogs? Have you stopped to think it is because our defense leaves so many guys open? No, of course you have not considered that because it would point to a flaw in your hero's coaching.

Good news?  How? The Hogs are now an 11 seed, one of the last 4 in ( according to the data above ) with a resume that won't look good in any blind resume test. Also, they very likely have at least 2 losses coming in SC and FLA ( FLa could be down right ugly ).

Last 4 in;  after a loss that bad, they should be on the outside looking in--  it just goes to show just how solidly in the field they were before the loss, despite the protestations of many.    That they're still in a position to make this tournament, without having to have a significant upset go their way,  is pretty plain.
