Jump Ball / Re: Muss withdrawalsLast post by Hawg Red - Yesterday at 10:40:37 pmIt's been touched on by some in here already, but I let my attachment to Musselman go when I realize how badly he wanted out of Arkansas, and how soon he was trying to get out. It was then that I realize Yurachek's odd (seemingly, at the time) behavior was a ploy to nudge Muss out. I think Hunter figured he would have gotten another gig before USC came open, so once Louisville and SMU dried up, I think Yurchek pushed his chips in to try to get Muss to take the USC job. At least that is what the conspiracy theorist in me wants to think.
But I was definitely rooting for Muss to leave by the time it became clear he was going to take that job, which is crazy because when that job came open, I was hoping they'd give it to Jason Hart, as was rumored. The only point where I had some negative feelings after that was when the rumors had us to looking at Chris Jans and Darrell Walker. But it was more of a "well, I guess we're just not destined to be a thing" type of feeling. It's really easy to stop caring about a coach when you know he basically hates being here. Then, once you get there, it's really easy to only think about the negative aspects of that coach that you didn't like. So, no, even if it doesn't work out with Calipari, Muss wasn't for us so I won't be spending a single second wishing he was still the coach. Those 3 years under Muss were amazing, but we do have a coach that can take us higher than that. He's got some stuff to prove to show he can do that in today's climate, but the man has won everywhere he's gone since the '90s. Hopefully we're a successful final chapter. 26

Oh I know theses are the facts you say! You always want the negative facts however I think Hogville is getting tired of negative posts only!I think we should stop posting the facts and post therapeutic fiction. We would all be happier. 27
