No worries.

I've seen spouses who coach together work well in some programs/duos and not well in others (like, I thought Nikki Collen was a great assistant for Tom at Arkansas).

Quote from: ucahogfan on Today at 04:12:48 pmI tend to think Kentucky is locked in for the #1 national seed as it currently stands if they win their series this weekend.  The loss against Kennesaw State is a big knock against them, but the rest of the resume is loud.  They have 18 Q1 wins which is 5 more than anyone else.  I just think the top 8 will be purely SEC (with maybe 5 now) and ACC at this point.  The sweep against Tulane might be ECU's undoing.  Not sure Indiana State can be a top 8 seed.

With you on ISU. ECU's projection may be on hope for them by some of the media who want the story of them finally making Omaha to happen.

UK's Q1 wins + adding in Q2 should do it IMO.  But never know about the committee's human element.  Let them carry that burden of the 1 and then get someone like Wake or some other hot team who takes out a 16 seed in a regional.

Got a hunch that their chirping wont be quite as obnoxious next time they sit in a visitors dugout.

@On3sports
REPORT: Arkansas & Kentucky will only play once during the 2024-25 season, per @JonRothstein.

The game will be played in Lexington at Rupp Arena. John Calipari returns👀

Quote from: Grizzlyfan on Today at 03:55:14 pmIf we lost Sunday and 3 at a&m that would put us 2-7 to finish the SEC season.  And the conventional wisdom would be that we finally got to the meat of the schedule and folded.

But again, I don't think you can overstate how big that win was yesterday.

The win yesterday was big to the team and DVH.  Coming back from 6-0 to score 9 vs a hot SEC opponent (and "confident") after some offensive struggles this season and in a time where we are having some second thoughts on our pitching plans.  The momentum it could carry from here on out besides what it could have done for the postseason seeding. Our offense finally carried their weight.

Juniors don't come back if they have any shot to get drafted.

Quote from: Hogkiller on Today at 02:38:35 pmBorzillo just reported Noah Waterman 6'10" BYU Senior has entered the Portal.  Graduate.  10 pts 6 boards and 37% from 3 with 6 takes a game.

JB Carol what's your take.

Waterman was a teammate with Brad Calipari for one season at Detroit Mercy.

He will have no leverage as a senior next year when it comes to the draft.  His signing bonus would be significantly lower next year than this year.

Pitchers were probably the strength of the class anyway, but the draft really decimated the bats.

That said, you have to think Ty Waid has a chance to develop into a big bat. Exit velocity reported on perfect game looks pretty good.

Yeah, we lost 6 signees in the draft, but four of them were high end bats.  Would be nice to have Questad and Kent on this staff, but we also got a lot of high end arms to campus.  We got basically two high end bats in Souza and Helfrick.

Quote from: Atlhogfan1 on Today at 04:02:33 pmThey could bring in the human element of spreading it to a West Coast team if any were remotely in contention but none are for a top 8. Big 12 doesn't present anyone unless they get enamored with OU and ignore their actual resume as uca points out.  OU's 17 RPI is lower than Bama and Miss St and they aren't in any conversation.  Leaves SEC, ACC, ECU and Indiana St.
