Now, I will give them the fact that tinkering with FMS or sending errant TIS data would be an annoyance not really an emergency, and I'll take the FAA at their word that the training sim lacks security that the panel mounted unit has.

But the fact remains that if they're using wireless communication between cockpit and control surface servos it is possible to send those servos errant data, and possibly unauthorized commands.

Probable?  Maybe not, but possible, especially if there is no encryption.
