My heart says Hogs 21 - Tide 13

My head says Tide 30 - Hogs 17

The recruiting rankings guarantee success about as well as getting Lee Corso to choose your team as the winner.

If we air the ball out and make them score with us:
Arkansas 35
Alabama 27
If we have drives where all we do is run the ball
Alabama 20
Arkansas 10

I hate to be a realist, but reality strikes yet again in Hog football:

the Hog O can't do it all, and our D sucks.

Final prediction:

21

Several things at play here.
1.We have YET to beat a ranked team at RRS since its renovation in 2001.

2.Our recent record on national TV

3.Joe Kines will have the Alabama D primed and ready for the Hogs.

I really think Bama is the better team but the Hogs will win b/c its been decided that its the program's fate that we will never get rid of Houston.  Every time we say ok, this is it, he finds a way to win.

Hog win, I don't care the final score.

I believe.
The first thing I heard today was that he grew up on a pig farm. That's quite a start in my book. And my last memory was watching him hang 70 on Nebraska. Just those two facts are enough (for me to like him). Then, I hear that he's out of the Hayden Fry-Bill Snyder-Barry Alvarez coaching tree. Oh, that's enough for me to like a lot. Then, I hear he's got a 27-year-old wife. Okay, we can stop. I like him.

Malzahn's offense will be exposed by equal, or better, "SEC speed" for the rinky-dink psuedo run-and-shoot high school offense it is.  Mustain throws three picks.

We are able to tun the ball.  Unfortunately, only between the 20's.

The defense plays better then expected, but that is STILL not very well.

What a sunshiny post you have there.

Lack of depth and impact players on defense let this winnable game get away from us.

The Good:

Hogs get 1st turnover for the year.
Mitch & Co

The Bad:

The Tide get 3 turnovers from us

The Ugly:

That thing that RH calls a defense

Bama's run offense keeps our defense on the field for long stretches at a time and eventually wears us down in the second half.

Call me crazy, but I think if Arkansas wins the battle of the turnovers, and scores more points, we win the game.  :D

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Should be a close one, I have more confidence in our kicking game now...

Where has all this confidence in our kicking game come from?  We have a big 0 for field goals and we missed an extra point against whotah st. .  Anyone who predicts a score with a variable of a field goal(s) in it is way off. The only way we win is to score three touchdowns, which seems to be the best we can hope for so far, and to hold bama to less than 20(20 because we will probably miss an extra point attempt).  20-17 AR or 21- 14 Bama cant make up my mind.

1 or 100 I don't care as long as we win :razorback:

OK guys hogs win this one.  We open it up a little more and we will see our running game shine.  It will still be close though.

Rinky-dink psuedo run-and-shoot high school offense goes for over 500 yards.Mustain throws three touchdowns.

Considering that it's supposed to be raining, I don't see Mitch throwing more than 20 or 25 times. I see him having similar stats as last week, with about 220 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. Expect big games from D-Mac and Felix. The score from last year gets reversed.

You know, other than the score, you seemed to get some stuff right. By the way, I'm glad you were wrong on the score.

I also had Us winning by 1. (35-34) But neither offense was what I thought it would be.
