Way too early 2018 predictions...

You yourself said it.  One thing a time brother...one thing at a time.

It's not the size of the Hog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the HOG!

Spot on. I think CSU beats is though.

Almost everyone is sleeping on that CSU game. 1st road game, only 2nd game under new offense and maybe new defense schemes. At altitude. And CSu will be super hyped to maybe knock off a SEC team. Hogs may win, but it is no gimmee.

Colorado State loses their starting QB, leading rusher, leading receiver, their left tackle, left guard, and center to graduation.

Tennessee is also looking to hire the Rams' OC/Offensive line coach (Will Friend) and their defensive back coach (Terry Fair).  The Rams' DC/linebacker coach (Marty English) is retiring.

Good info. Those key player losses have to tilt the advantage our way a click or two.
Thanks for the F Shack.

not too bad.  will be replacing a lot on defense, but at least Kelley got experience this year.  ragnow hurts the most, but at least we aren't replacing half the oline like csu

Until I see us play, no idea on score.  However, I'll venture out on the W/L...

Sept. 1 – EASTERN ILLINOIS - W
Sept. 8 – at Colorado State - W (although, because its game two and on the road, could be a toss up)
Sept. 15 – NORTH TEXAS - W
Sept. 22 – at Auburn - L (but closer than it has been)
Sept. 29 – vs. Texas A&M (Arlington, Texas) - L (but is a game we could steal for a lot of reasons if we gel)
Oct. 6 – ALABAMA - L
Oct. 13 – OLE MISS - W
Oct. 20 – TULSA - W
Oct. 27 – VANDERBILT - W
Nov. 3 – Open Date -
Nov. 10 – LSU - L
Nov. 17 – at Mississippi State - L (but an opportunity)
Nov. 24 – at Missouri - W

7-5 is what I see based upon the talent I know we have.  If we don't gel right off, could be 6-6.  If we get hot late, could win 8 games.  Colorado State is a big game early due to being on the road and only our second game in the new system; I'm giving us a talent edge but could be a loss.  A&M should beat us, but that is CCM's alma mater (could be an upset).  Mississippi State has a new coach and only about equal talent and could easily be a win.  Missouri could easily be a loss but I'm going to give us a "get the monkey off our back" win in that game.

MJ2

Agree with 6-6.   Bowl game vs Memphis.

6-6 is my guess too.

if he can't go 6-6 with the schedule we have, he may never go 6-6

Not beating Mizzou next year if Lock returns.  Very little seniors on that team this year.  They expect a good run in 2018

Wildhog

I'll say 4-6 wins, but it's way too early to have any idea.

We beat either Miss St or Missour and go 7-5 which is fitting since SMU was 7-5 and both records would be on the upswing for the programs.

Yep, Cornelius said he is coming back for another year so the Hogs return 9 starters on offense but only 5 starters on defense.

I'll say 4-6 wins, but it's way too early to have any idea.
he has got to figure out how to win at least six.  this is the most favorable schedule he will get.

I think the key is if he can adapt his system to what we have, and make the best use of the talent on hand.

the other major factor is of course defense.  I don't think that can get turned around as quickly as the offense can, but he needs to find someone that can at least field a serviceable defense.
