First 2 are solid options. Chad Morris hasn't has quite turned SMU around, but he should help with Texas recruiting.

Chad Morris is a good offensive mind and will have very strong recruiting ties in Texas. Both are very strong qualities to have to be successful at Arkansas. Wouldn't be a bad hire at all.

Going to be a huge hire, and a tough one. I imagine lots of up and comers will look at our returning players and our recruiting base and look at the Razorback job as a potential career killer. Don't think we'll be first on many of their lists.

I hope any list also includes James Madison coach Mike Houston. The guy has won everywhere he's been including a FCS championship last year. He is on an 18 game winning streak currently and likely to repeat this year. All time record is 62 and 20. He is 19-1 at JMU in two years so far... only loss to FBS team UNC last year and they beat ECU this year at Greenville. The guy is a winner... high tempo offense, uses dual threat QBs, and has an aggressive defensive style.

Agree.  He would leave SMU for Arkansas.  The Texas recruiting ties would be huge!  How did Frank win?  He got the best players from Arkansas and recruited the heck out of Texas!

I wish Coach B could have understood this when he first came to Arkansas.  Even Hayden Fry at Iowa recruited the heck out of Texas!  Why could they not understand this?

The talent we have right now is an 8 or 9 win team.  And a qb that looks very impressive with a high ceiling if we can get a decent coach.  Arkansas is not a career killer.

Venebles, yes, if we can get him, but Matt Campbell has moved to the top of my list . The same Matt Campbell that beat 3rd ranked Oklahoma last week, and curb stomped Kansas 45-0 this week with Iowa State, is the same guy who came into War Memorial two years ago, and kicked our butts with Toledo.

0 SEC experience on that list

Guessing part of the Norvell obsession is the UCA connection.  And the spread offense of course.  Never built a program.  2 years HC experience. 5 total years of P5 conference experience all under Todd Graham.

Sure Morris has Texas recruiting connections.  Is he going to outrecruit A&M and UT and OU consistently in Texas to Arkansas?  Of course not. Just what we need to aspire to be:  Texas Tech of the SEC.  But at least we will put the ball up a lot.
Quote from: MaconBacon on March 22, 2018, 10:30:04 amWe had a good run in the 90's and one NC and now the whole state still laments that we are a top seed program and have kids standing in line to come to good ole Arkansas.  We're just a flash in the pan boys.

Brohm is in first year at Purdue and is from western Kentucky.
Campbell is in first year at Iowa state. So maybe.
Frost is most likely headed to Nebraska.

Brohm was very successful at WKU and has Purdue punching above their weight class.
Campbell built Toledo into a MAC power and is overachieving at ISU.  Outstanding coach.

I'd at least like to make Nebraska pay for Frost.

Campbell is in his second year at Iowa State.
If Brohm can get Purdue to a winning season in year 1 I would try very hard to get him to Arkansas.  I doubt he leaves Purdue, but Campbell could leave after this year at Iowa State. He will be highly targeted by many schools if he does a great job at Iowa State.

I should clarify. I think the Brohm family is from Western Kentucky. His dream job might actually be Louisville.  Your right about Campbell.  As for Frost. Didn't he play for Nebraska?
