We lost, but I'm shocked we covered the spread.  I believe Kelley is our QB going forward.  I recall BA playing Bama as a freshman and it was way worse.  Cole has the confidence and tools at QB that we have lacked for awhile.  I liked it when we hired Bret, but it hasn't worked thus far and it won't.  Austin should never start again and if he does, our other qbs better be hurt.  Let's move forward with our best players because this season is lost.  I'll be at Fayetteville next week to hopefully cheer on our future,  our young Hogs!

If our Oline plays as well next week AA might light it up.

QuoteBielema said Allen may not be back against Auburn. Might be longer than that, even. He was optimistic Allen would be able to return at some point this season.

Kelly avg less than 5 ypa tonight. Tough spot to start and he got some great experience but need Austin for last 5 games of season

Have you lost your mind?  Arkansas had around 20 yards rushing.  Total.

Our best chance to win is Cole Kelley. There is nothing Austin does that he can't do. And Cole can do way more.

What has Austin done in his career to make you think differently?

Kelly was a surprise for Bama. He won't be next weekend. If he continues to throw falling backward he will have some problems.

WorfHog

Unless they suit up on defense it really doesn't matter. Auburn will be looking for another record game in rushing and our defense will not stop them.

P.S. I hate Gus and Auburn but it's the truth.

At least CK doesn't fall over when someone runs close to him. AA has never been what we needed, not his fault but never the less true. Just saying it's time build for next year.

This is Bielema's way of conceding the inevitable.  If CK keeps them competitive next couple of weeks I suspect AA's seen his last meaningful time except maybe on Senior Day.

Kelley's upside is absolutely ridiculous. He is a man among men in the pocket as a freshman. Kelley for Heisman 2019!!!!

Yeah, for all of his positives, this is a big big negative that could easily lose actual winnable games. He needs to be coached better, next year maybe.

Need to give Allen plenty of rest. BB even said it, the team likes to play with Kelley. Not the same as last week, but it sure seems like the line blocks better for Kelley, or at least tries to. I am really starting to believe what someone said on here last week. I believe some of the players don't like Allen too much. Just my opinion.
"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own.

And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

I haven't watched the game yet, but if you say the oline played well, it lines with a theory that the line plays harder for Kelley and that kind of chemistry can't be taught. He's the natural leader on the team and he needs to be given the chance lead.

Did anyone notice how the Bama defense tackled Cole. They jumped on his head and shoulders to bring him down for the most part. Yes he made freshman mistakes but the effort was there. Anyone that wants to tear him down just prove you could have done better not by words but by actions.

jgphillips3

Cole is the real deal.  Confidence, swagger, ridiculous arm strength, good wheels...franchise.  Give him a decent coach next year and he will flat go off on some people.

We wouldn't be the only team starting a freshman QB. Part of the reason CBB has lost this team is he plays less talented upper classmen out of a sense of "loyalty".  Those days are gone in today's college football. Competition at every position should be the norm.

You're mistaken if you think Kelley was a surprise to Bama. They prepare better than any other team in college

Early in the game I saw someone go low on him and thy couldn't get him down. Was funny, like our little DB who couldn't tackle Lorenzen at UK
