Norm DeBriyn and John McDonnell reflect on the time with Frank Broyles

John McDonnell and Norm DeBriyn each spent 34 years of their careers working for University of Arkansas athletics director Frank Broyles. Both excelled as coaches in their respective sports.

DeBriyn's teams won an incredible 1,161 games at the school, claimed 2 SWC Championships with an additional SEC title, made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances and reached the College World Series 4 times, finishing as national runner up in 1979.

McDonnell is the NCAA's top coach of all time in national championships (40) and conference titles (84). His track teams at Arkansas featured 23 olympians, including gold, silver and bronze medalists, 105 NCAA individual event champions and 331 individual event conference champions.
