It's known as the "Juice" or Vig.  It's the Bookies or Websites Cut.

It's how they make their money. 

I'll play favorites from time to time, if the public is putting a lot of money on the underdog.

It means you have to risk $115 to get $100

or 110  - 100

OR 105 - 100

If it's +115 you risk 100 to get 115.

Etc.  Lot's of the gambling book websites have pretty detailed explantions for this if you it doesn't make sense how I explained it.  Sometimes they just move the Juice instead of moving the line.

Seton Hall is a very very Public play.  Good Luck, but a lot of people "squares" are on them. 

My condolences to any of you who took Seton Hall. They were dominated and abused the enitre way by Wichita State, who looks like they will have a real shot at beating Tennessee Saturday.

I'm not sure the Missouri Valley Conference really deserved to have any more than the 4 teams it got in, but the Committee's choice of Seton Hall as a bubble team over, say, Missouri State, looks all the more suspect now.

I think I'd lay off the Razorbacks for this game, and if they make it to the 2nd round play them as the underdog against Memphis.  I like a possible Kansas/Iowa parlay tomorrow...

I won 45 on Illinois -8.  I have a $50 parlay with Illinios -8 (check), Texas A&M pickem (check), and now I need Georgetown to cover 3.5 for me to win $300 on that one.
