I don't know if any of you have ever been to maxboxing.com but it's a really cool boxing site.  They came out with their Staff predictions of the Taylor/Hopkins fight and the majority of them picked Taylor.

Still can't wait for:

"FROM LITTLE ROCK ARKANSAS......"

and then,

"THE NEW MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD......"
"I love cats...I just can't eat a whole one"

Man I hope he beats thug Hopkins!!!! It won't be easy....It's a big move  up in competition for Taylor....He has the talent to get it done though....He is a great ambassador of this state...Love the guy...

To sum up that guy's opinion, who the hell is Johnny Ortiz? Sounds like some kind of Cinemax softcore pornstar to me.

Hopkins didn't sound too thuggish on DTS the other day. It's more of an act to help promote the fight. He actually gave Taylor some praise, albeit in a back handed way. But what do you expect?

this will no doubt be the toughest fight for taylor yet.  very unlikely he will KO hopkins, maybe a knockdown at least to seal a UD.  hopefully he won't get KO'ed in the process because we all know what hopkins is capable of.

Thinking about going out to see the fight at a local watering hole.  Any idea as to when the main event should start.
A hero kills people, people that wish him harm. A hero is part human and part supernatural. A hero is born out of a childhood trauma, or out of a disaster, and must be avenged.

Taylor reminds of Alexis Argueyo in the way he fights.  Argueyo had a great jab and was a staight up fighter and great just like Taylor. If this fight is refed right Taylor will take out Hopkins, his jab will punish Hopkins who likes to come in grab and then hit.

Thehammer

Smart money says that Taylor "offs" Hopkins in the ninth round.

If hopkins tries to go inside he will, get his ass kicked..I have never saw a left jab as good as Taylor's..In  History, if the champion faces a challenger, that is younger, stronger, and  has a good left jab, usually the challenger wins..It was said that if Taylor takes the fight to Hopkins, he will win..If Taylor makes him fight his fight it's over...

This should be a great fight..Go Jermain!!

If this fight goes to a judges decision (no KO's or TKO's) then it will be a victory for Taylor either way the decision goes. Primarily because of what the press and Hopkins (who isn't as much of a saint as the previous poster leads people to believe) wants to lead everyone to believe...that is, that tonight's fight will be very lopsided. Even if Hopkins leaves the ring the winner from a judges decision it shows these two more evenly matched and will certainly set up a rematch very soon. But, I would rather see Taylor beat the crap out of Douglas. :D
If this fight goes the distance Taylor will not be the winner.  Very few ever take away a title with a decison

Man once again you missed my point all together, Skip.

Oh I forgot, you have the only opinion on here that matters. Please enlighten us all with your expertise on boxing.

BigPapaHawg

Well it won't be long now. The fight starts here in a few minutes and I'm going to be planted right in front of the T.V., watching Taylor kick Hopkins ass!
