Although it has fallen a bit in the last couple of years because the infrastructure is falling behind the population growth, Fayetteville is still consistently ranked in lists of "best places to live" and "best places to start a business". You won't find College Station on any of those because it is dusty, hot and economically and culturally stagnant.

I've lived in big cities and little towns in 10 different states (including the better part of two years in Texas) and Fayetteville is by far my favorite place to live.

Folks in NWA need to lose the inferiority complex. It's really quite a nice place, all things considered.
