Important to know that Tubby Smith is a very close friend on Nolan and stayed in close communication with him in 2002.  Tubby is also extremely loyal  -- to a fault.  Put those two together.  Regardless of how you feel about his merits and how he would do here, this is an irrelevant thread.  As will be the next one with a similar title on the same subject.
