Breeding can go on scholarship and not count against our 25 for 2011; he would count against his freshman class which has room. He should go on scholarship.

Armbrust had a scholarship this year simply because it was available.

Still one recruit on the board, Atiga the LB from Utah.

Is Stadther off the team?  I know he's been in a little hot water off and on over the past 18 months, but I hadn't heard if he was off the team or had his scholly revoked.  Didn't see his name on the list, so I was just curious.  Thanks.
Razorbacks, Cardinals, and Cowboys!!  A 30+ year addiction.

HogsInaBlanket

in all the videos the coaches have said whitehurst is starting out playing corner and not reciever just so you know

Steef

Where'd Buehner go? He looked great in the Red/White game.

Oklahawg

Added Buehner to walk-ons of note.

Added Stadther back; he was not a full participant all spring semester so I had purged him from my old list.

I also reordered my RB list to have Davis first. Even though he was in bold type that seems to be easier for folks to digest.

Green is out for the season so I don't think he is still ahead wingo and walker.
It's not what you push but what pushes you!!

I think you should break the O line down by position. Not as a group. ALso I don't see Green ahead of Wingo post injury. Good work.

I just placed them by position, not a depth chart. Petrino is so prone to juggling the depth chart I found it impossible to sort out. When we actually see bodies on the field as 1st teamers then we'll know.

Your heading says depth chart. Prolly should say roster or position breakdown.

See if you can make sense of this. Trying to get an actual depth chart (until Petrino gives us one in August).

Bold names are returning (7+ games) starters. Dennnis Johnson is listed as returning starter for obvious reasons.

Green is in italic to indicate he's out for the year with an injury.

Players in (parenthesis) are walk-ons.

I expect Breeding to go on scholarship in 2011 (he won't count against 2011's class).

Is Will Coleman the deep snapper?

Oklahawg...good format for the depth chart.  Need to make a few minor changes....Jake (not Jay) Bequette and Colton Miles-Nash.  I am sure you know both their names but had a typo or two. ;)

I am very concerned about the fullback position.  Van Stumon was a devastating blocker and now we are counting on a junior college guy with no one behind him.   Who will be our #2 fullback now that Green is out ???

Kiero is a load. Austin Tate did a fine job with this subbing for Stumon last year. I bet he gets reps there again. Kody Walker, anyone?

I think Big Tex is mired in the DT depth chart - I know he was moved there for spring drills but didn't hear the name much.

It would seem to be the perfect chance for a recruited walk-on to contribute early.

Isn't Brad Shearin supposed to walk on at FB?

ListenHereMister

Morgan Linton would be a solid backup FB.  He is still on team as a walkon, right?

Austin Tate can and has played fullback also.  Most of the TEs will be cross trained at FB.

Big Tex was fighting a injury this spring. I don't think anybody really knows how he will do at DT. I'm not completely convinced he will not move back to offense. At the same time if he'll even be on the team. He would make somebody a really good FB/HB. He's just not able to do at the SEC level.

Yes, he told me he would be on campus the first week in June.

Update.

Uh, Offensive Guard Depth is a bit "iffy". I don't really see Smothers playing as a back-up. Charpentier, I think, is the back-up Center. Hurd becomes freaking important. I be Stringer moves into the OT 2-deep and Peacock rotates over to guard.

If Atiga comes in VERY conditioned to the AR heat and plays with the quickness he shows in his vids and knows the defense, then I could see him at Sam.  That's the toss-up of who gets bumped.  If he's not conditioned then I expect special teams and a few reps sort of guy.

Pretty sure Jashaud Sims will be at WR.  I think Charpentier has played guard as well as center, so he allows some flexibility at guard as well.

I had him at WR earlier, but elsewhere I've seen safety. I think he's a risk for not being here, anyway.

Charpentier is going to get on the field this year. Where is the question.

I do know this:

Remember in the original Star Trek when Kirk and Spock would take an away team down to a hostile planet? They always had some unknown plebe with them, Ensign Widget, or something-or-other.  Kirk and Spock lived to see another episode but Ensign Widget was almost always a casualty.

I bet we see some walk-on scrub assigned to hang around Swanson, to take one for the team, if danger approaches. Just like on the old Star Trek.

I still think that he'd be great at a 'thumper' position.  2nd or 3rd and short let him come in at a MLB position and Thump somebody.
