Anyone else heard about the recruiting violations that are getting ready to fall on Texas? I heard briefly this afternoon about pre-loaded cards and escorts. I can't find anything else on it though.

LSU self imposed some penalties today as well. Dropped a couple of schollies anyway.

Because of the climate of political correctness now pervading America, those of us in Arkansas will no longer be referred to as HILLBILLIES. We ask that you now refer to us as OZARK-AMERICANS.Thank you!....Now if you'll excuse me, I got possums to fry.

Who the hell thought of prepaid-card-handshakes?

Isn't there a bit of a paper trail there? Pretty stupid.

We can be so proud of LSU for their self-policing. Yes, tht punishment is oh, so cruel:

Because LSU only has 10 seniors on scholarship scheduled to leave the team, LSU may not have been able to enroll a full recruiting class of 25 new student athletes anyway because of NCAA limits on all programs.

Yet Auburn goes unpunished.

you got to have direct proof before you can punish them. So far I have seen none. It sucks that could get away with it

Texas needs to cheat?  Seriously?  They can't win without cheating when they have 5-stars falling out of the sky onto them?  You need to give hookers when you have players lining up to play for them?

Gawd that is something.  You can't take the cream of the crop in Texas and make it legitimately.  Sad.

I pay cash for a pre-paid card, give it to you, and you spend it.  Where is the paper trail?

It's almost impossible to recruit good players to Austin. There's nothing to do and the women make your eyes cramp.

Video of booster buying the card, with a certain "Visa" number, tracked to the time of the survailance video.

Video and other electronic tracking of the same card, same number, being used by a player.

We're not talking Wal Mart gift cards here.

Pre paid cards are big right now with criminals. They are tracked.

From what I have read and heard, the, Booster does not buy the card himself, he sends a crook who works off the books for him with cash. The player is also told to be careful when using it, (let the possie use it, or someone sucking up to him. ) There went your paper trail.

It's all covered in Slives statement

The NCAA doesn't have the power to recover security camera footage from private businesses.

And how is the NCAA supposed to know visa numbers of boosters? Anyway, only an idiot would not pay in cash.

Maybe the players dad's asked for the gift cards.

In that case, no harm no foul.

usnavyhogfan
