Tenner better hope Pruitt develops players a LOT better than Butch Jones!

During the Butch Jones era from 2013-2017, their classes were ranked 21,5,5,15,15 with 51 4 star players and 7 5 stars.

Contrast that with Missouri whose classes ranked 49,41,34,27,47 in those same 5 classes. Mizzou signed a TOTAL of 12 4 star players and 0 5 stars.

For all those "Jimmys and Joes" carnival barkers, in that time, playing in the same division of the same conference, TN had a record of 34-29, 14-26 in the SEC while Mizzou was 39-25, 21-19. With a 5 year total of 12 4 star players to Tenner's 51 with 7 5 stars to boot.

Last year, the LA Rams averaged 14 points a game, this year they averaged 31 and have 10 wins with a game to play compared to last year's 6 or 7 wins. With mostly the same players, although they did add Watkins, Woods and Whitworth thru free agency and a trade.

Watkins and Woods were inconsistent and injured off and on much of the season, so mainly it has been about players who were already on the team and replacing a fuddy-duddy run-it-up-the-middle coach with a more modern approach.

That's not to say we will do the same as there is no Todd Gurley on the offense, but development and coaching are as important as ever. I'll take a motivated, conditioned team with good coaching and less talent over an entitled, sluggish, talented team with lousy coaching any day.
An Old OL coach who's team couldn't block a hat last season... If things aren't MUCH better this fall,  enjoy Hot Springs Sammy!
