Wed (10/11/17) updates ...

* '18 Hog commit Keyshawn Embery told me that he expects Head Hog Mike Anderson to be at IMG Academy tomorrow to see him practice. '19 Hog recruit Jahmius Ramsey told me he was expecting the Hogs to be there tomorrow, too, although he was not sure which coach(es). Embery (6-3 combo guard) is a Nat'l Top 100 / 4* prospect according to Scout, Rivals, and Endless Motor Sports. Ramsey (6-4 guard) is a composite Nat'l Top 75 / 4* prospect.

* '20 Hog recruit Chris Moore (6-6 CF, West Memphis / Wings Elite) has big plans over the next few days and weeks: He's headed to Memphis tomorrow for an unofficial visit, then he's off to Pangos frosh/soph camp in Dallas this weekend, then he's trying to get back to Fayetteville by the end October (possibly early November) for his 2nd unofficial visit there.

* New '18 Hog commit Jordan Phillips will join us on the Recruiting Intelligence Report (Thurs) ... show airs tomorrow from 8-9 CT on 103.7 The Buzz ... here's a link to listen live ...

* Several more Arkansas hoopers from the '20 and '21 classes are going to the Pangos camp this weekend in Dallas: '20 Hog offer Moses Moody (6-5 SG, NLR); '20 Hog recruit Khalen "KK" Robinson (5-11 PG, Bryant / ARHawks); '20 Hog recruit Gerald Doakes (6-2 CG, Jacksonville Lighthouse / Wings Elite); '20 Hog recruit Davonte Davis (6-3 PG, Jacksonville Lighthouse / Wings Elite); '20 Caleb London (6-4 wing, Conway / Wings Elite); '20 Treylon Payne (6-1 CG, Episcopal Collegiate); '21 Madison Peaster (6-1 CG, LR Mills); '21 Ryan Maxwell, Jr. (6-5 F, Jacksonville); '21 Jordan Maxwell (6-3 F, Jacksonville); and '21 Camren Hunter (5-10 G, Bryant).

Late Wed (10/11/17) update ...

* '18 Hog offer Reggie Chaney (6-8 PF from Frisco, TX) told me TA&M will be back at Findlay Prep tomorrow to see him. He said Hog coaches are working on getting back out there, too. Seems like the Aggies and Hogs have spent the most time at Findlay Prep, looking like it might come down to those two.

We have got to beat the Aggies on this.  Come on Mike
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

I have gonads, and as soon as my wife gets back I'll prove it.  I keep 'em in her purse. >:(

Okay, you are right, I should have done that first instead of going off of what other people said was said.
So basically all my complaining was for nothing and I'm a dumbass.  I should have just watch the presser BEFORE commenting.

Fri (10/13/17) updates ...

* '18 Hog commit Keyshawn Embery said "it was good" having Head Hog Mike Anderson and assistant coach TJ Cleveland down to IMG Academy on Thursday to see him practice and visit with him afterward. He'll sign on the first day of the early period (Wed, Nov 8th). '19 Hog recruit Jahmius Ramsey had a few things to say about the visit as well (see content of tweets below) ...

- '19 Hog target @newanimprovedJR said UA coaches "wanna get me on campus" to visit. @MikeAndersonUA @TJ_Cleveland saw him Thurs @ IMG Academy

- .@newanimprovedJR (6-4 G, Nat'l Top 75 / 4*) said: "They (UA coaches) like my dog mentality, & how I can get to the rim & create for others"

- .@newanimprovedJR (Arlington, TX, by way of Helena, AR) has reported offers from TA&M, K-State, UNLV, Tulane. He said he talks daily w/Hogs!

* '20 Hog offer Moses Moody (6-5 SG, Nat'l Top 50 / 4*) was offered this afternoon by Baylor ... Moody was unofficially visiting the Bears today while in Texas for this weekend's Pangos frosh/soph camp in DFW ... Moody now holds offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Baylor ... with UCLA, Virginia, OKSt, Indiana, and others involved. Linked is my tweet breaking today's offer news ...

* '18 Josh Leblanc committed to Georgetown today... 6-7 CF is a composite Nat'l Top 100 / 4* and was the Under Armour circuit's Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 ... he had Hogs, TA&M, LSU, and Georgetown in his Final 4 ... he visited all 4 schools, with the Hoyas being his first trip in mid August.

* I journeyed to Fort Smith today to see the defending 7A state champ Northside Grizzlies and '18 Hog commit Isaiah Joe in game-like scrimmaging (they had refs in today). Zai has filled out more in his chest, looks noticably bigger and stronger. Legit 6-4 with long arms. He's taking on more primary handler / floor leader duties this year on a team that is young (team was senior-laden last year). He was good today, really looked to get others involved and made plays at both ends of the floor.

Playing in 4 abbreviated quarters (6-minute quarters, running clock), Zai's stat line looked like this: 17 points (6-of-11 FGs, including 2-of-5 from 3, and 3-of-4 FTs), 8 assists, 7 steals, and 6 rebounds. He also forced 4-5 more turnovers by using his athleticism and length to get deflections and disrupt.

Another young baller who stood out, and I saw him play in the spring and summer with the ARHawks 14U team, was '20 Jaylin Williams (6-8 PF) ... he had a double-double today (21 points and 11 rebounds), and was a bull inside and effective shooting in the mid-range (he drained his lone 3 attempt, too) ... another example of a D1-caliber in-state talent in the c/o 2020.

Linked are 7 highlights videos that I tweeted (3 of Zai scoring, 2 of Jaylin Williams scoring, plus 2 of Zai dishing to Jaylin for buckets), plus 2 interview reels of Zai, who talked about his upcoming HS season, the upcoming early signing period, and Keyshawn Embery and Jordan Phillips ...
