Bobby Wernes plays 3b and hits .355, reaches base at a .467 clip and has a slugging % of .597. Leads the team in triples with 4.

Michael Bernal walks up to the plate and brings a .364 avg. with him.

Benintendi moves to 2B on his 6th steal of the year.  Poche had Benintendi picked off, but the 1B made a bad throw down to 2B.

ucahogfan

Bernal lines a single into left as Benintendi comes into score.  Bernal's 10th RBI of the year.  Bernal moves to 2B on a throw that went to home plate.

2-0 Hogs.

Back to the top of the order in Eagan (.307) , he got a hit and scored a run first time up.

ucahogfan

Eagan loops one into right.  Bernal doesn't score on some horrible base running.  Runners on the corners with 2 outs.  Vitello was waving him home.  Vitello raised his hands like "what are you doing" when Bernal stopped and moved back to 3B.

Serrano flies out to deep CF as the CF makes a running catch.  Serrano got a whole lot more of that ball than I thought he did.  Bernal costs us a run.

Surely someone had to hold him up on that
Vitello didn't.  Not sure who would have stopped him.

Foster runs the count full, and he is caught looking on a nice breaking ball.  Taco's 1st K.

Looked like he stopped about 10 or so feet after turning the corner for some reason

Zardon comes up, batting .269, he's the #9 hitter for LSU and plays 1b.

He had to have thought Vitello signaled stop for some reason.

Yeah, who knows why he stopped, but he wasn't held by the guy he should have paid attention too.

Interesting stat, but Spoon has only drawn 2 walks so far this season.

Funny I read the tiger rant thread and they are steady complaining about the umpire.

A_R_K_A_N_S_A_S

Nomura bats now, he hits .338 and grounded to short first time up

It has been a tight zone, but fair on both sides so far.

And the LSU fans complain every time that something doesn't go their way.

Good job Bonfield. Would be great to see him get the bat going.

Nomura runs the count full (strike 2 was high, but a great job framing by the LSU C), and he walks to put runners on 1B and 2B with 1 out.  Poche at 52 pitches threw 2.1 IP as the LSU pitching coach comes out to the mound.

Here comes Benintendi ! Team leader in homers and bats .288
