SEC stats for the Hogs thus far and the Missouri game

1-3 in SEC play this season.

Allowed more than 80 points in the 3 losses.

Hogs rank 13th out of 14 in SEC in scoring defense (85 points).  What happened to the 2011 press conference statement by Anderson that his teams would pick up the opponent as they stepped off their bus?

Hogs are 11th out of 14 in field goal defense (45.5%). Could it be the short lineup that is causing much of this?


Mizzou is 5-10 and 0-3. They are last in SEC in FG%, and 3 pt %.

Outside of residents and grads of both schools, I cannot imagine more than a few hundred people nationwide being interested in this game. I will guess an actual attendance of 4,000 for this game at BWA. That is probably going to end up being optimistic.

Wonder if Long will be in the building and do the empty seats have any impact on the decision making process?

Looking at the remaining schedule, Anderson has a great opportunity to win a bunch of games to finish out the season.

Mizzou and LSU, well the Hogs should win all four of those games w/o too much trouble. Losing to either of them this year would be close to a fireable offense.

We'll be hard-pressed to beat either Fla and SCarolina at their place.

That leaves nine "50/50 games"--A&M (2x), Vandy (2x), Ok St, OM, Bama, Georgia, and Auburn. I had more "should" wins, but have dropped that number after losing to MSU.We really need to take the majority of these games.

To me, the nine 50/50 games will determine whether we're dancing, playing in the NIT or sitting at home altogether.

I'd go furtha than thayat. If Hogs lose to Missouri, I would sue them for collecting pay while not working. If I could find a suitable criminal statue, I would get it in front of a grand jury and go from there.

If they lose on Saturday, it will be almost impossible to make the NCAA tourney...surelynthey aren't going to lose to Missouri ...I may be having a prolonged crisis of faith in the team but I can't fathom them falling that far

Thats what alot of people thought heading into last Tuesday night too. They have trips coming up to college station, to vandy and to okie st. Vandy gave KY all it wanted Tuesday night, A&m still has some weapons, although their guards are playing poorly right now which usually plays into the Hogs hands, and OSu played ISu tough at home last night. The hogs may win all of those, but they wont be cake walks.
