Quote from: Boog41 on Yesterday at 10:53:25 amWilliam T Dillard, the founder, passed away over twenty years ago. He does have children though.

WTD was the speaker at my graduation. His two sons attended UofA. I remember one professor saying one son was level headed and the other son was an arrogant prick. Which probably translates to one may NIL and the other one turn his nose up to supporting a lowly Hog.  8)

Quote from: denimchicken on Today at 12:11:11 amFair enough. No hard feelings. I took your original reply to be antagonistic and I admit I was probably wrong and just a little grumpy because I think you misunderstood what I was going for. Anyways, have a goodnight.

Nope, no hard feelings at all. I was a regular in the old Politics board so had to learn to accept opposing opinions.

That's cool. If you enjoy then more power to ya.

Yea definitely need a another DL. Our depth is horrible. Ian Geffrard our biggest DL 6'6 394 looked like charmin in the spring gm. Would not be surprised if he transferred after this yr. Hopefully he can stronger during the summer and contribute but i doubt that happens.

Quote from: AHiD on Yesterday at 06:53:37 pmThe special teams has been the absolute worst unit since Pittman's been here outside of Little and the KO guys. We were very fortunate with Little and Calvaruso to have accurate FG kickers who could kick the ball through the end zone because we really really struggle with punt and kick coverage

The thing is we were fortunate with them because they were recruited by fountain. He also has the top kicker coming in next year's class. Fletcher was a top punter. He gets the specialists and sometimes they work out. It's the rest that is the problem

Take it for what it is,
But Baylor has crystal balls for
Roach and Aidoo

And Brandon Garrison

Quote from: Hudge_12 on Yesterday at 04:33:22 pmIndeed it is!
So Mark Pope can't get his former player to choose KY over Louisville? They're terrible right now.

I don't know. Maybe Pope didn't want him.

Quote from: MuskogeeHogFan on Yesterday at 01:58:06 pmGreat example, "I'm going to speak negative and dwell in the negative until you prove that I am wrong". Hey, you want to live life that way without hope or any optimism, have at it.

Why be overly optimistic and ignore reality? On the Flip Side why be overly negative and not a least entertain the possibility of over achieving?

Sometimes taking the Middle Path is the best approach. As a Mizzou Fan who has endured heart break and long long stacked seasons of poor performance I have found it best to try and be realistic and ground my hopes somewhat in reality. This is the logical approach and if you do catch lighting in a bottle like last year the Victories and over achievement is sweater by far.

Even in 2024 despite the Preseason Guru's spewing and predicting about our Possible Playoff bid, I just don't see that. Mizzou has talent and a Good solid staff, but we are not stacked two deep across the board and we lost our DC, and a lot of Defensive talent, our Kicker and a Leader at RB. I being grounded fully expect Mizzou to win 6-8 games in the SEC because we play Bama/LSU/OU/A&M and we can't over look teams like the Hogs either who might not be as talented but the Gulf is not that vast. So the idea we have back to back seasons of 10 win's or more is doubtful.

It's possible but not probable... I will root for it to happen. I hope it does happen as a huge fan but the reality of it coming true is not that great.

Big difference between Hoping for High Expectations and Expecting those high Goals to come true.

Quote from: FayettnamsFinest on Yesterday at 11:02:56 pmI thought it was a bad look that they were hoping/trying to lead this kid back. He had no choice but to go and should have been pushed out the door.

If Cal was still coaching there and a kid's a projected lottery pick / he pushes them out the door.
