Did you see the comment regarding recruiting by the 'powers in the sport of track and field'.  No mention of the HOGS!  Nevermind the numerous championships that the HOGS have won.  More than anybody in any sport, even the damn yankees!

My brother was called in to verify the length of the track in order for the world record to stand.  The track measured 200.016 meters.  The record stands.

Sounds like a great kid.
I only hope we don't hear that he's juicing.
Huge improvements like that over a short span of time could raise a red flag in some people's eyes.
Sure hope he's clean.

I would assume that he meant the traditional "sprint" powers.  We are traditionally thought of as a place where distance runners and in the past field event specialists came.  We did not become a power in sprints until last year when Tyson and Wallace burst on the scene.

Thank you for the rebroadcast tip Hogmary. We might want to pin this for tonight and tomorrow morning. Congrats to the kid for setting the record also. Historical weekend at the UA it was. This time all GOOD publicity. Well, minus the burrow and hide policy of the men's basketball team, it was.
