The Recruiting Guy

I had the opportunity to chat with Pulaski Academy's QB Stefan Loucks last week.  Here is a bit of the conversation.

TRG:  What is your height, weight, and 40?

Stefan:  I am 6'3", 185 lbs, and I run a 4.8.

TRG:  How did you do last year as a far as stats are concerned?

Stefan:  I threw for 4300 yards and had 43 TDs.

TRG:  Pretty impressive numbers, how about INTs?

Stefan:  I had 14 INTs.

TRG:  I hear you have racked up almost as many offers as you have TDs.  What schools have offered you so far?

Stefan:  Ark St, Miss St, Auburn, Missouri, Wyoming, and New Mexico State.

TRG:  Has Arkansas contacted you?

Stefan:  Yes, Coach Malzahn, Coach Wood, Coach Danny Nutt, and Coach Nutt were all here a couple of days ago to watch practice.

TRG:  With all the schools that are interested in you, are you leaning toward one school in particular?

Stefan:  Yes, I would probably say Missouri.  I really like the offense they run there.

TRG:  Thanks for your time Stefan.  I look forward to following you this upcoming season.

Stefan:  Thank you sir.

Stephan has a strong arm, I have watched him the past two seasons.  Very steady in the pocket and looking off receivers. I wish the best for Stephan.

He was a Jr. last year in a weak conference, throwing the ball 40 times a game.

Why do they not put all the private schools in one or two divisions or conferences?

This kid is another Jared McBride at best.

Stephen will do fine in Division 1 football whomever he signs with.

Arkansas should sign a QB next year.  If other options don't pan out, he may be a viable pick up.

i think it is interesting that Auburn has offered more QB's in the state than we have.

we told Khodi Burns he is our #1...thats why we haven't offered Nathan Dick yet.  When he decides to go elsewhere or we feel like he isn't leaning our way.. we would offer others.

It is called putting your eggs in one basket.... hopefully it pays off.

Heard this morning that Cal has now offered this kid.  Impressive.
